In this constitution, unless the context otherwise requires and or provides, the following words and expressions shall be the meaning assigned hereafter.
“Annual General Meeting” and the “Special General Meeting” mean the Annual General Meeting and the Special Meeting respectively of the Institute.
“Constitution” means the constitution and the Rules, Codes, Guidelines or Procedures of the institute on adoption by the Institute.
“CPD” means such scheme(s) of Continuing Professional Development as may be prescribed by the institute.
“Institute” means the Fiji Institute of Environmental Health.
“Member” means any person who has been admitted to membership of the Institute.
“National Council” means the Executive Committee of the Institute duly voted in by 50% plus 1 of members.
“Office” means the registered office of the Institute.
“Practitioner” means an Environmental Health Officer, Senior Health Inspector,Health Inspector, Senior Assistant Health Inspector, Assistant Health Inspector,Sanitary Inspector and includes EH practitioners who are specialists in corporate and private organizations and NGOs, Academic Institutions, EH Consultants and their designation.
